Superblock
Superblock is a blockout lining like no other, initially developed for luxury hotels in Dubai. With air conditioning units running 24 hours a day x 365 days a year, keeping the filters clear is a top priority, so hotel rooms must be free from the flock or dust that accompanies traditional linings.
At Louis Alexander we reckon clean air is not just good for hotels – it’s good for all of us. So we got rid of the traditional flock and developed an insulated blockout lining with a silicon coating, that not only looks great, but is washable and mildew-resistant.
At 280cm wide on a 100% polyester base cloth, Superblock offers exceptional value for money. Released first by Louis Alexander, others have now sought to imitate this wonderful product, but none has matched the quality of the original.
Supersatin
Supersatin is our new 100% polyester lining with an anti-static finish and a weighted hem for superior draping and less movement in the breeze.
Supersatin was developed after a conversation with one of our customers. Upon hearing of our obsession with weighted curtain hems, she asked the obvious question: Why couldn’t she find a weighted lining?
Turned out there was no good reason, so we immediately set about developing this innovative product. The result is Supersatin – a heavy weight, washable and weighted curtain lining, in a versatile width of 310cm.
